Hello my Danish Friends,

I am Geert WERBROUCK from Belgium and I think it will be my 6th participation as a guest flytyer on the Danish Fly Festival 2027...and bet that I am looking forward to this allways marvellous event.

I am 69 years old and what we can call totally 'autodidact' flytyer. My flyfishing and flytyingroots where and still are trout and grayling fishing and flies...was it not that in 2008 I took up to learn to tie still 'classic salmon flies and classic wet flies'...when in 2016 I lost my drive in tying the classics I went over yo tie salmon aswell wet flies with a more 'creative' tuch but still allways so that my flies where 'tied' with fishing them in mind...

This past year 2026 in mind and with a fishingtrip to the Slovenian trout and grayling rivers Soca, Idricia and Sava Bohinjca I tied not less then 2000 dry flies...ah but my 'love' for coming over yearly to Your premier salmon river Skjern A will rest aswell...I must still receiving the thrill of a Skjern A salmon pull on the end of my line...but but on the contrary not less then 8 Skjern A seatrout I could bank and release this past 10 years.

I don't know yet what I will tie at the festival but You are all more then wellcome at my table for a chat and a laugh...looking forward to it
